Walker Gaulding had the crowd laughing out loud sharing stories of young Leon and the beginnings of the ministry, while Pat Smith-Headley shared how they overcome the challenges of those early years in starting the sponsorship program. Bob and FloAnne O’Brien provided a memorable overview of all that had been accomplished in construction and growing the schools, and two graduates of the Cite Soleil primary school, Jameson Charles and Peterson Jean, shared how their lives were changed through the ministry. HOM Statement on New USCIS Process for Haitian Immigration

In January 2023, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced a new process for qualifying Haitian citizens to travel to the United States and seek a temporary period of residency. This process requires, among other things, a supporter in the United States who will provide financial and other support. Individuals who are interested in learning more about this process should visit the US Citizenship and Immigration Services website for more information. Haiti Outreach Ministries is not involved in this process, nor can we provide guidance or advice to those wishing to apply or to sponsor. All inquiries should be directed to USCIS or an immigration attorney.

Update on the Crisis in Haiti & Ministry Activities

Thank you for your continued prayers for Haiti. For the most recent detailed information on our staff and our programs, please read on.   What is happening in the HOM supported schools? The 3 primary schools and 1 secondary school remain unable to open due to on-going insecurity in Port-au-Prince. The main concern is the ability of students to safely get to and from school each day as gang violence remains prevalent. Until students can safely return to the classroom, our administrators and teachers have been preparing lessons and coursework that can be done at home. The lessons are picked up on a bi-weekly basis by parents, and teachers also provide instructions to the families so...
